If you are an English speaker and looking for a pediatric clinic in Tokyo, you are welcome to visit our clinic. A Japanese pediatrician will examine your child(ren) and explain to you in plain English. If possible, please come together with a Japanese interpreter to make communication go more smoothly.

We accept general pediatric consultation, vaccination, well-child visit (health checkup) of infants to children up to 15 years old (9th grade). We do examine attending family members of 16 years old and above with relevant symptoms with your child(ren). We do not accept medical examinations or vaccination of family members alone except for lactating mothers.

We will refer your child(ren) to secondary or tertiary medical center or other clinical departments as deemed necessary.

We encourage you to take web appointment before your visit. Please check here for details. We do examine patients without appointment, but please note that patients with appointment are prioritized unless your child requires an immediate procedure.

What to bring

Health insurance card (we only accept Japanese health insurance), Medical care certificate (Iryosho), Maternal and child health handbook (Boshi techo).
If applicable: Patient card of our clinic, Medicine notebook (okusuri techo), Medical questionnaire, Referral form from your previous doctor.

There are three ways to fill out a medical questionnaire:

• Fill out on the Web before your visit.
• Print out, fill out, and bring with you.
• Fill out at our reception desk.

Upon arrival

Please come to our reception desk and show your child(ren)’s patient card, health insurance card, and medical care certificate. We will make your child(ren)’s patient card on your first visit.

Please hand in the referral form or the completed medical questionnaire if you have one. Please let us know if you have filled the questionnaire online. If you have not filled out questionnaire neither online or printed, please fill one out at our clinic.
Let us show you the appropriate waiting room or an examination room according to the symptoms. We will check your child(ren)’s body temperature and weight before the examination.

After the examination

Please wait for your prescription and receipts. Please note that we only accept cash (Japanese yen).

Most of the fee is paid by medical care certificate, if you live in 23 wards of Tokyo. Please request for refund to your city if you live outside the 23 wards (e.g. Kawaguchi city).
The medical certificate, patient referral document for childcare for sick children, and blood type test fees are as follows.

• Certificate of recovery from infectious disease 500yen
• Medical certificate 2,000yen
• Patient referral document for childcare for sick children 1,000yen
• Blood type test 3,000yen

Well-child visit (Health checkup)

We accept 6 months, 9 months, and 1 year and 6 months old of children living in Kita city.
We also conduct health checkup for those who do not have a questionnaire on health checkup for infants, as well as pre-admission or pre-school medical examination. The fees are as follows.

• Pre-admission or pre-school medical examination 2,000yen
• Health checkup for those who do not have a questionnaire on health checkup for infants 2,000yen

What to bring

Please fill out the required parts of the questionnaire and maternal and child health handbook before your visit.

Upon arrival

Please come to our reception desk and tell that you’ve come for well-child visit (health checkup). Let us take you to the non-infected child area. We will measure your child(ren)’s height and weight. You can have your child(ren) dressed, but will be asked to get undressed again in the examination room.

After the checkup

Please wait for your Maternal and child health handbook (Boshi techo) to be filled in.
Please note that we only accept cash (Japanese yen).

Vaccination

We accept routine vaccinations of 23 ward of Tokyo. The fees for voluntary vaccinations are as follows. We do have form of subsidy system for mumps vaccination for children living in Kita city.

The schedule of routine vaccination is in line with the recommendation of Japanese Pediatric Society. Please bring the record if your child(ren) has history of vaccination in other countries.
We have Rotarix (monovalent vaccine) as rotavirus vaccine and Gardasil (4-valent vaccine) as HPV vaccine.
Other family members of 16 years old and above can recieve only the same vaccination with the child(ren). We do not accept Influenza vaccination for family members alone.
We don’t have Rotavirus 5-valent vaccine, HPV 9-valent vaccine, Streptococcus pneumoniae 23-valent vaccine, and Covid-19 vaccine.

* YOU CANNOT recieve routine vaccination WITHOUT maternal and child health hand book (Boshi techo) and Prevaccination screening questionnaire. Please be sure to bring with you.

Upon arrival

Please come to our reception desk and tell that you’ve come for vaccination. Let us take you to the non-infected child area, and measure your child(ren)’s body temperature.

After the vaccination

Please wait for your Maternal and child health handbook (Boshi techo) to be filled in. Please note that we only accept cash (Japanese yen). You are strongly recommended to stay within our clinic or nearby for 30 minutes after vaccination as your child(ren) might have reaction to the vaccination.
